Bella Alubo’s Table for Two is the first single off her anticipated debut album (title to be announced). This track follows her recent releases Pretty Things, Gbolahan and Gba Gbe.
On Table for Two, Bella is seemingly in a cycle of failed love experiences, a theme common to Bella but now assertive as ever with self-empowering lyrics and a distinguishably thicker vocal timbre. Not denying her vulnerability, Bella strings along listeners with her relatable tale, taking advantage of witty lyricism, whilst conveying just the right amount of emotion, affirming that she isn’t an option and wouldn’t be treated as such.
She vocalises over a trippy mid tempo global sound, produced by Syn X, who made this infusion into the sweet melodic Afro Ballad. The track builds off unique pop synths, rhythmic Caribbean kicks and Bella’s husky sweet vocals, setting the tone for a perfect summer tale.
